Audubon Society licensing

This is Wild Republic’s Series 1 from the backyard birds collection a licensed venture with the Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

The line of realistic-looking plush beanbag birds also features authentic sounds provided by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Each bird’s lifelike design and impeccable detailing is the result of input from Audubon where each bird is examined for the maximum likeness.

The plush birds stand 5-inches tall, and retail for between $6.50 and $7.50. Each plush bird comes with an educational hangtag.

Series 1 of the backyard birds features a Blue Grosbeak, a Painted Bunting with green wings, a red-breasted American Robin, a Northern Cardinal, a black-capped Chickadee and a bright yellow and black American Goldfinch.

“This collection of birds appeals to all age groups, young and old,” said Manjit Dhillon, marketing manager at Wild Republic. “Its attractive size and its realistic features promote collectibility.”

Wild Republic plans to add other series to the line in the future. The company has also created a free-standing tree display that holds 12 birds in its branches and 144 more in a basket at the foot of the tree. A bird’s nest that can cradle six birds is also available.
