WB strikes retail agreement

Products from Cartoon Network‘s “Johnny Bravo” will be featured in licensed corners of Brazil retailer Riachuelo.

All of the products feature the popular characters from the shows.

“We are pleased to partner with Riachuelo to present these dynamic properties from Cartoon Network in a new and exciting environment,” said Claudio Ludovisi, vice president of Latin American licensing for Warner Bros. “This important project demonstrates our commitment to building the Cartoon Network brand and to our strong focus on retail to showcase entertainment properties.”

The corners are developed to be bright and colorful to fall in line with the look of the Cartoon Network brand. Space allocated to the shops ranges from 200 to 500 square feet with themed fixtures and banners to distinguish the shop.

Televisions, airing cartoons, are mounted on towers in the larger formats.

“We are sure that our licensing project with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Cartoon Network will be a success, counting on the fact that the strength and popularity of these Cartoon Network properties is undeniable,” said Adriano Chede Soares, group manager of kids and infants for the retailer.
